Most religions believe man is meant to suffer because of “original sin” or “bad karma” from “past incarnations.” Suffering is believed to be part of the “human condition” which is “sinful,” “imperfect,” or “unenlightened.”
Religion generally believes man must “repent,” “do penance,” to receive “God’s forgiveness,” or “detach from one’s desires” in order to end pain and suffering.
All of these are beliefs. And believing is not perceiving. What might one perceive if one did not believe in the necessity of suffering?
